Western Yarrow is a tough native perennial in the Sunflower (asteraceae) family with umbel shaped clusters of little white Daisy flowers. This adaptable plant is the local subspecies of a plant that is found throughout the Northern Hemisphere in many habitats from coastal meadows to deserts, open forests and even above the tree line in high elevation alpine zones. It's not picky where you put it in the garden but likes good drainage and will bloom better in full sun. It is drought tolerant and a great plant for pollinators, attracting bees and butterflies.
