Festuca glauca 'Boulder Blue' is often considered the Bluest of the Blue Fescue cultivars. It forms a compact, dense mound of fine blue evergreen foliage. When seed heads mature in summer they turn a straw yellow color which nicely compliments the blue foliage. Drought tolerant and low maintenance.

Size: 10” tall x 12” wide
Light: Sun - Mostly Shade
USDA Zone: 4-9b

Occasional summer water for best results, can handle some drought.

Evergreen foliage does not get cut back in winter like deciduous grasses. Instead plants need to be cleaned up from time to time by combing the plants with your fingers and gently tugging on clumps of foliage. The dead grass should pull out much easier than live leaves. Divide in early spring every 1-2 years to maintain size and vigor.
