As it's common name Snow Queen suggests, this small native Wildflower is one of the earliest native plants to bloom. Small purple flower spikes often start opening in February when bumblebees are just waking up and will keep blooming into May or a little beyond. A must have plant to bring an end to the gloom of winter while providing nectar to our early pollinators. In the right conditions this plant will spread to create a groundcover, great for low borders near pathways in your naturescaped garden.
